Ian Wade recently retired as CEO of a global non-profit, Outward Bound International, which has licensed operations in thirty-three countries. Since retiring, he has volunteered with several organizations trying to address climate change. Educated in northern England, Ian came to the United States to work as an aerospace engineer at Boeing and NASA. He is an avid mountaineer summiting mountains that include Everest, Eigerwand, El Capitan, and more, and he served as President of the American Mountain Guides Association. Ian and his wife Ginger McKenna are still active hikers.
