Internships with UCCD

Utah Council for Citizen Diplomacy offers excellent opportunities for high school, undergraduate, and graduate students throughout the Wasatch Front. Students work directly with our programs, staff, and executive leadership. Interns work on various projects, interacting with businesses, the community at large, and leaders in Utah and across the globe. UCCD also helps foster education and career opportunities.

“What an incredible opportunity to meet amazing people from all over the world, network with local leaders, and rub shoulders with spectacular co-workers! Being an intern with UCCD was an incredible opportunity for me, and I’m so grateful I had this chance.” - Katie Davidson, Program Associate Intern

International Exchange Program Academic Fellowships

We offer 1-2 academic fellowships to undergraduate or graduate students. Fellows engage with our International Exchange Programs, arranging accommodations, transportation, meetings, and cultural activities. • Fellows work 15-20 hours per week. Announcement and recruitment begin in spring each year.
  • Ideal interns should be interested in international relations, political science, public administration, or public policy.

Impact Research Interns

Impact interns conduct necessary and valuable research by communicating with all our International Visitors to capture through storytelling what they have been doing in their communities after their visit to Utah. See our Stories of Impact for examples. Interns write up these stories in blog-form and conduct qualitative and quantitative research from the responses and create an end-of-year impact report.

  • Interns work 8-10 hours per week. Announcement and recruitment begin in spring each year.
  • Ideal interns should be interested in public administration, public policy, or communications.
