Thank you Global Ties U.S. for inviting us to host the Diplomacy Begins Here Summit in 2019!
Utah Global Diplomacy, in partnership with Global Ties U.S.and the U.S. Department of State, hosted the Diplomacy Begins Here: The Power to Make a Social Impact, a Global Ties U.S. Regional Summit held in Salt Lake City, Utah. We brought together more than 100 local, national, and international leaders from business, government, and nonprofit sectors engaged in social impact, global economic development, and international exchange.
The theme Power to Make a Social Impact focused on three areas:
- Collecting Data-driven Results: Today, there are more demands to prove your impact. Attendees were equipped with the right tools and knowledge to ask the right questions that collect data-driven results, demonstrating how they move the needle with social impact.
- Telling Compelling Human Stories: Attendees learned how to tell impactful stories that encourage people to develop personal connections with the work you are doing.
- Value of International Exchange Programs in Utah: Attendees learned how Utah fosters global connections in the international community and celebrates the critical role that public and citizen diplomacy programs play in advancing U.S. foreign policy goals.
