Maria Ferreira

Oii amigos! Grab yourself a cup of coffee and let me tell you a little bit about myself. My name is Maria Júlia, I am a Pre-Med student majoring in Psychology. Which I found to be my passion, being able to understand one’s true self. I volunteer teaching kids an Emotional Intelligence class at the Latino Behavioral Health Services. I am about to finish my second semester as a 4.0 honors student at SLCC, where I am part of an incredible supporting community. I have a full-time job, and in the little free time that it lasts me, I do CrossFit & Muay Thai. There are many different things that I do, but they are all driven by the same motivation: to experience life at its fullest while making a difference in some way. I could not be more honored to be chosen as one of the receivers of the Global Leaders Scholarship, and I cannot wait for the brilliant things that await me with this new opportunity.
