From May 10 - June 9, 2024, a group of 11 Jordanian leaders (between 23 - 34 years old) will be traveling to Utah under the auspices of the U.S. Department of State's US-Jordan Leadership Exchange Program. During their program, these 11 individuals will be supporting the work of organizations in Utah that align with their personal and professional development goals.
One of the overarching goals of the U.S.-Jordan Leadership Exchange Program is to strengthen ties between the U.S. and Jordan by fostering personal connections and mutual understanding.
To this end, we are seeking hospitable and culturally curious hosts in Utah who are eager to open their homes and hearts to these international guests. Hosting a professional from Jordan can be a rewarding experience, offering hosts and their families a chance to learn about Jordanian culture, traditions, and perspectives, while also sharing the richness of American life.
Hosts are expected to provide a welcoming environment that includes:
- A private bedroom and access to bathroom facilities
- Breakfast and dinner on most days
- Occasional transportation to and from community cultural events.
While these professionals will have a busy schedule during their visit, evenings and weekends will often be free, allowing for meaningful interactions and shared experiences with their hosts. Utah Global Diplomacy is pleased to be able to offer $1,700 per participant (about $50 per day) to help offset the cost of hosting.
