In 2007, Westminster College generously invited Utah Global Diplomacy to be part of its institution as an affiliate organization. It has become part of our identity - our International Visitors marveled at the campus' beautiful buildings, and they were in awe of the student body's energy. More than 100 Ambassador John Price & Marcia Price World Affairs Lectures were hosted on campus with topics ranging from backdoor diplomacy to the impact that human trafficking has on the environment to international relations from the depths of the ocean all the way into space. In addition, college students learned about international relations and global engagement through our Young Diplomats of Utah program, internships and fellowships, and classroom dialogues and conversations.
A Westminster College student recently shared, "My interaction with the International Visitors perfectly defines Citizen Diplomacy - by connecting fundamental values, sharing experiences, and creating new relationships, I feel like I have made new friends across the globe, and hearing different peoples experiences has really helped my viewpoint of cultures everywhere."
We have felt like part of the Westminster College culture. However, due to program expansion over the past two years, our need for space outgrew our offices at Westminster College. Therefore, we have procured newly renovated office space at Independence Square located in Murray, Utah.
Our move to a new office is bitter-sweet. We greatly appreciate the support and dedication Westminster College gave to our organization over the past fourteen years. While we intend to continue providing meaningful global engagement and education to Westminster College students, faculty, and the broader community through our programs, we are excited about the opportunity to grow and expand our mission in this new space.
With that being said, please save the date for an open house introducing our new office space on Thursday 10.14.2021 from 5:30 PM - 7:30 PM. RSVP details are coming soon.
